Aqsis Developer Meeting - 20080217 ($TIME GMT)

What's been happening this week and the progress of last week's tasks.

1. Update options and attributes section of the manual - Paul Gregory

3. Setup a wiki page outlining the rules for writing wiki documentation that is to be converted to printable form - Paul Gregory
4. Get shadow maps and PCF working - Chris Foster
5. Implement separation of sample data from pixels in the B:BOC proposal - Paul Gregory
6. Update the priorities of outstanding bugs - Paul Gregory
7. Address as best as possible any category 9 bugs, and review category 8 - Paul Gregory

We are getting closer to a suitable position for a 1.4 release. I'd like to discuss what we need in that release and what sort of timeline we should aim for.

The idea of a staged release was tabled, and got a positive response. The suggestion is to do a release in a number of defined stages, each with a rough duration, and specific purpose. The exact nature of these stages will be documented in a wiki page. This approach allows outsiders to monitor the status of a release easily, and understand exactly when and what the release will entail.

There was some discussion about the planned features for 1.4, which again will be defined in a wiki page this week. This list will hopefully form the feature set for the 1.4 release sometime in the next couple of months. More exact information regarding release dates and features will be available once these two wiki pages are defined.
